Fundamentals of Disease Biology
Practicum course where trainees are tasked with developing an actionable research agenda and collaborating to address one or more questions from this agenda using quantitative skills developed in other coursework. Students are challenged with delivering three tangible products to hone their technical and transferable skills: an education model for K-12 or public audiences, a basic science research paper, and an applied product such as a white paper for clinicians or policy makers.
For students entering the program in Fall of 2018 or later, the required elements of this course will be incorporated into ECOL 8510. ECOL 8530 will no longer be offered.
