2017 IDEAS Recruitment Event at the Graduate Student Symposium
On Friday, January 27, 2017, the IDEAS Program, in conjunction with the Odum School of Ecology, held its annual Graduate Student Symposium and Recruitment Weekend. This event served as opportunity for invited applicants to engage with IDEAS faculty, students, and staff to determine their interests and fitness for the program. Candidates interviewed with faculty, toured our facilities, and interacted with current students.
The Graduate Student Symposium featured informal talks on current student research, a keynote lecture by Dr. Elizabeth Sudduth, and an undergraduate poster session. IDEAS student, Paige Miller presented research on spatial patterns of disease indicate progress towards elimination.
